Cofounders Chris Campbell and Mike Worsman have taken this approach to their inspiring online publication, Our World Today. At TEDxAdelaide, they explained how sharing the positive side of humanity can inspire a world of peace, optimism and equality. They’ll be returning to [...]

TEDxAdelaide might be over, but we’ve got the lowdown on TEDxYouth@Adelaide… Kristin Alford, TEDxAdelaide licensee holder, attended TEDActive earlier this year. InsideOut Project: James Devine
by Rubina Carlson on 1:53 am in 2011, InsideOut Project, Projects
James Devine is a local photographer who often works in clubs. In these portraits (which were pasted on the side of the Dog and Duck in Hindley St), he’s captured three local DJs without any of the promotion that they might otherwise do. These portraits give you a glimpse of their lives outside of the decks.
InsideOut Project: Michael Ziebarth
by Rubina Carlson on 1:50 am in 2011, InsideOut Project, Projects
Two grandmothers, his father and someone he cares for. Michael Ziebarth chose to tell the stories of the older people that have made a difference to his life, capping off the portraits with a quick quote from each of them from during the shoot. These portraits were pasted up inside the UniSA West campus.

How Do I Get Involved? What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
Our event is called TEDxAdelaide, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxAdelaide event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
Visit the TEDx website to learn more: http://www.ted.com/tedx
